01

Eastern Palace

0 / 3 steps

Unlock wall merging.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Follow the sword delivery to the Sanctuary, then return home after Yuga's attack. Borrow Ravio's Bow and activate the paired switches outside Eastern Palace.

  2. Watch the rolling boulders before crossing their lanes. Shoot distant switches and ride the moving platforms to reach Yuga.

  3. Stun Yuga with arrows and close in with the sword. After gaining the bracelet's wall-merging power, use it to escape the dungeon along ledges you could not previously cross.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Merged movement reaches ledges around corners.

02

House of Gales

0 / 3 steps

Earn another pendant.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Recover Queen Oren's Smooth Gem to obtain the Flippers, then rent the Tornado Rod. Swim to the House of Gales and use the rod at its wind-operated entrance.

  2. Use upward gusts and the Tornado Rod to reach moving platforms. Merge into walls around obstacles and keep enough energy to complete each crossing.

  3. Use the rod to rise above Margomill's rotating layers and strike the eye. Remove intervening layers before trying to reach the weak point again.

Chapter references

Checkpoints

A useful detail

The Rod lifts vertically; it is not a directional jump.

03

Tower of Hera

0 / 3 steps

Complete the pendants.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Obtain the Power Glove from Rosso and rent the Hammer. Climb Death Mountain and flatten the entrance pegs.

  2. Hit spring platforms with the Hammer, stand on them and wait for the launch. Use wall merging to move between ledges without falling to a lower floor.

  3. Moldorm's tail is vulnerable; its head is not. Fight near the centre and circle behind it rather than following it toward the edge.

Chapter references

Checkpoints

A useful detail

A fall may return you to a lower floor.

04

Master Sword and Hyrule Castle

0 / 3 steps

Enter Lorule.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. In the Lost Woods, follow the ghosts' changing instructions rather than assuming the same rule applies to every round. Draw the Master Sword with all three pendants.

  2. Break the castle barrier and climb to Yuga. Identify the real target among the copies and attack when he leaves the wall.

  3. Follow the newly opened passage to Lorule. Activate weather vanes and inspect world cracks: entering a crack from a different position can provide access to a different region.

Chapter references

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Read each ghost challenge anew.

05

Thieves' Hideout

0 / 3 steps

Free Osfala.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Enter the hideout in Thieves' Town and free the imprisoned thief. Leave her in safety when scouting a dangerous room.

  2. Coordinate pressure switches, moving floors and barred passages. Merge into walls to reach controls while the thief waits, then return for her before proceeding.

  3. When Stalblind presents his shield, merge into it and emerge behind him. After rescuing Osfala, return to Ravio to obtain the Sand Rod for Desert Palace.

Chapter references

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Keep enemies away from your companion.

06

Desert Palace

0 / 3 steps

Rescue Irene.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Use Lorule's cracks to reach Hyrule's desert. Raise sand pillars with the Sand Rod and merge along their sides to cross gaps.

  2. Collect the Titan's Mitt and remove the large rocks blocking later routes. Keep track of which exits lead back outside rather than deeper into the palace.

  3. The boss lies across the route into Lorule. Raise a path toward Zaganaga with sand pillars, avoid the summoned enemies and slash the flower when within reach.

Chapter references

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Sand columns collapse; plan the next jump.

07

Dark Palace

0 / 3 steps

Rescue Gulley.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Sneak around the guards outside the palace, merging into walls to avoid their sightlines. Rent Bombs before entering.

  2. Break boarded windows to send light onto sensors. In other rooms, extinguish torches to reveal paths that are only visible in darkness.

  3. Bomb the Gemasaur King's mask to expose its weak point. Relight the room when darkness hides it, then strike while avoiding its charges.

Chapter references

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Keep the Lantern equipped for the boss.

08

Swamp Palace

0 / 3 steps

Rescue Oren.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Rent the Hookshot and bring the large Bomb Flower to the cracked boulder near the entrance. Its explosion opens the route and changes the surrounding water.

  2. Pull switches and adjust water levels to reach different ledges. Use the Hookshot on targets across gaps before raising water that changes access.

  3. Pull Arrghus's smaller eyes away one at a time and destroy them. Once the shield is gone, evade the main body's jumps and attack when it lands.

Chapter references

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Ordinary bombs cannot remove that boulder.

09

Skull Woods

0 / 3 steps

Rescue Seres.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Use the forest's holes as separate dungeon entrances. Mark which upper opening leads to each lower room rather than repeatedly dropping into the same branch.

  2. Carry the eyeballs to their sockets, using wall merging and moving platforms to reconnect paths. A carried eye cannot follow every route that Link can traverse alone.

  3. When Knucklemaster charges, merge into the wall and let it crash. Emerge to attack during the recovery, then move before its next attempt.

Chapter references

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Watch the shadow of falling hands.

10

Turtle Rock

0 / 3 steps

Rescue Impa.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Help the three baby turtles and reunite them with their mother to reach the lake entrance. Bring the Ice Rod.

  2. Freeze lava and moving seesaw platforms to create stable crossings. Merge along accessible walls when a frozen platform alone does not reach the exit.

  3. Drop ice through the floor openings onto Grinexx below. When it surfaces, move away from its attacks and strike the exposed head.

Chapter references

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Ice platforms are temporary.

11

Ice Ruins

0 / 3 steps

Rescue Rosso.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Reach the mountain's Lorule crack with the Fire Rod available. Melt the entrance and pull the central statue's tongue to operate the lift.

  2. Treat the dungeon as a controlled descent: inspect where a hole lands before dropping, melt obstructing ice and pull tongue switches to move floors into place.

  3. Use repeated Fire Rod attacks to melt Dharkstare's shell. Slash the exposed creature and leave the marked triangular areas before they freeze.

Chapter references

Checkpoints

A useful detail

The central lift reconnects explored levels.

12

Lorule Castle

0 / 3 steps

Restore both kingdoms.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. After rescuing all seven sages, complete Lorule Castle's four trials. Use the tools and wall-merging techniques tested in the earlier dungeons.

  2. Against Yuga Ganon, evade the trident attacks and return the energy volleys with the sword. Keep room to move rather than standing at the arena edge.

  3. Use Zelda's Bow of Light during the wall phases. Shoot from behind; in the final variation, fire along the wall in the opposite direction so the arrow travels around to Yuga's back.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

The Bow of Light fires while you are merged.

Plan your final discoveries.

Use these routes alongside the edition-specific counters. The references link to individual locations and additional maps.

Maiamais and equipment improvements

  1. Visit Mother Maiamai to begin the search. Listen for the cries, use wall merging to dislodge wall-bound Maiamais and revisit rocks and deep water with upgraded equipment.

  2. Buy an item from Ravio before asking Mother Maiamai to improve it. Rentals cannot receive those permanent upgrades.

  3. Collect the four Master Ore pieces and take the pairs to the appropriate blacksmiths. Search the bottle locations separately; an empty bottle is a permanent reward even if its contents change.

Hearts and the final sweep

  1. Work region by region across both worlds, checking the corresponding crack exits. The same geographic area can contain different rewards in Hyrule and Lorule.

  2. Return to minigames and optional combat challenges after upgrading equipment. Choose your edition's completion counters, then use the individual heart reference to resolve the remaining gaps.
