01

Mercay and the first spirit

0 / 3 steps

Rescue Linebeck and reach the Isle of Ember.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Take Oshus's sword, practise the required attacks and enter the Temple of the Ocean King to rescue Linebeck. Avoid lingering outside safe zones before you have the hourglass.

  2. On the Isle of Ember, read the graves and mark the correct locations to release Astrid. Climb toward the temple and extinguish the entrance candles with the microphone.

  3. Obtain the Boomerang and draw paths through several targets. During Blaaz's battle, read the horns on the upper-screen images and connect the three forms in that order.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

The upper screen reveals the correct order by the spirits' horns.

02

The northwestern sea

0 / 3 steps

Recover the Spirit of Wisdom.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Take the Phantom Hourglass and return for the next sea chart. Use safe zones to stop the timer and wait for Phantom patrols before crossing.

  2. Buy the cannon and follow the route recorded in Molida's hidden hideaway to cross the fog. Activate the Isle of Gust's windmills using the island clues.

  3. Collect bombs in the Wind Temple. Throw a bomb into a small cyclone when it passes beneath Cyclok, then strike the fallen boss.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Mark wind directions and safe paths before moving.

03

A mark on the sea

0 / 3 steps

Find the third spirit.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Return to the Ocean King's temple and transfer the sacred mark by closing and reopening the DS while the two relevant screens are displayed. Use the equivalent lid control only if your platform provides one.

  2. Buy the Salvage Arm and retrieve the Sun Key at the marked sea location. Return to Molida, open the sun door and enter the Temple of Courage.

  3. Obtain the Bow and use the dungeon's clues to follow the invisible route. Against Crayk, aim toward the viewpoint shown on the upper screen, then attack the exposed shell growths and tail.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Trace the invisible floor route on your map.

04

The Ghost Ship

0 / 3 steps

Find Tetra.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Follow the spirits' signal through the fog until you reach the ship. Explore the decks and escort the sisters while watching the patrolling enemies.

  2. Verify the sisters' claims against the actual room clues. Plan the route around spikes and barrels before moving an escorted character.

  3. Return the Cubus Sisters' solid energy ball with the sword while avoiding the misleading projectiles. After finding Tetra, visit Zauz to learn which metals the Phantom Sword needs.

Some advice aboard is deliberately misleading.

05

The first pure metal

0 / 3 steps

Recover Crimsonine.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Return to the central temple for the southeastern chart, then speak with all the Gorons on Goron Island. Answer Biggoron's questions using what the residents told you.

  2. Alternate between Link and Gongoron to hold switches and open paths. Draw Bombchu routes through small holes to reach switches on the opposite side.

  3. Use Gongoron to knock Dongorongo over and send a Bombchu into its mouth. In the later phase, place bombs where it inhales, then attack the exposed body.

A useful detail

Station one character safely before switching.

06

The frozen island

0 / 3 steps

Recover Azurine.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Compare the Anouki statements to identify the disguised Yook. Clear the snowfield route and enter the Temple of Ice.

  2. The Grappling Hook can connect posts into a rope. Use ropes as bridges or springboards, and pull remote switches when a direct path is blocked.

  3. Redirect Gleeok's fire and ice shots toward the opposite-coloured head with diagonal ropes. Later, attach a tongue to a post to pull the head down for sword attacks.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Draw grapple paths carefully: the rope itself is part of the puzzle.

07

The drowned kingdom

0 / 3 steps

Recover Aquanine.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Read the Isle of the Dead's clues and obtain the Regal Necklace. On the Isle of Ruins, visit the royal spirits and lower the water to expose the temple approach.

  2. Collect the Hammer in Mutoh's Temple. Use it on launch platforms and floor-switch patterns; work out how adjacent tiles change before repeatedly striking them.

  3. Launch Link to Eox's marked weak points and hammer them. After the body breaks, land on the remaining head and attack its exposed jewel.

08

The Phantom Sword

0 / 3 steps

Free the Ocean King and Tetra.

Route and puzzle solutions

  1. Bring the three pure metals to Zauz and take the forged blade to Oshus. Return to the Temple of the Ocean King; the completed sword can now defeat Phantoms from behind.

  2. Pull away Bellum's slime and shoot the eyes around the arena. Use Ciela's time-stop power when the required opening appears.

  3. After the ship battle, fight the possessed Linebeck. Watch the upper screen for the open eye on his back, stop time and move behind him to strike.

Checkpoints

A useful detail

Ciela's time-stopping power works only after collecting the required Phantom Sphere.

Collection field guide

Plan your final discoveries.

Use these routes alongside the edition-specific counters. The references link to individual locations and additional maps.

Efficient returns and remaining treasures

  1. Revisit early temple floors with bombs, arrows and later tools to create shortcuts. An earlier safe route can become unnecessary once a new item opens a direct passage.

  2. Use the best checkpoint time available, carry healing and mark important symbols on the map. More Sand of Hours gives flexibility but does not replace safe-zone planning.

  3. For completion, revisit islands for Spirit Gems, hearts, Treasure Maps and ship parts. Use the objective references below for individual locations; randomized ship-part rewards may need repeated activities.

One checklist edition is documented here. Ports with the same collection targets share this column; this does not claim that every release is identical.

These are checklist targets, not an overall completion percentage. “Not included” means the goal is absent from that checklist. Hardware-dependent extras and additional runs are listed below.
