Four flames lost in a haunted house.

Find the Fairy Bow, restore the Poe flames and defeat Phantom Ganon.

  1. Gather two opening keys

In the first courtyard, climb the vines on the right, cross the branches and Hookshot the chest for a Small Key. Enter the temple. After the four Poes remove the lobby flames, take the north door and defeat both Stalfos for another key.

  2. Drain the courtyard well

In the lobby's northwest corner, remove the blue block with the Song of Time. Cross the courtyard and climb its vines, clearing Skullwalltulas first. Defeat the Blue Bubble for the map, then exit to the other courtyard. Hookshot to the switch ledge and step on it. The well drains: descend for the third key.

  3. Build a path through the block room

Return to the lobby and unlock the west door. Beyond the Blue Bubble, follow the floor arrows to pull and push the large green block into its socket. Climb up and work around to move the red block into place. Use both as stairs to the upper locked door.

  4. Follow the twisted corridor

Unlock the upper door, cross the twisted passage and watch for the Wallmaster in the next chamber. Unlock the next door, descend the portrait stairway and enter the Stalfos arena. Defeat the first Stalfos; when two arrive on the lowered platform, finish both before either revives. Take the Fairy Bow.

  5. Restore the red and blue flames

In each portrait stairway on either side of the bow room, stand back and shoot the painting showing a Poe. Repeat until it leaves the last painting, then follow and fight it. Arrows work while it is visible. Collect the Small Key and Compass left by the two sisters.

  6. Untwist the west passage

Return through the block room to the eye above the twisted corridor entrance. Shoot it to straighten the passage. Cross again: the ornate chest is now reachable and contains the Boss Key. Drop through the nearby floor opening, clear the Bubbles and exit onto an upper courtyard ledge.

  7. Win the courtyard key

Enter the small side room off that ledge and defeat its Floormaster, including all three smaller hands before they reunite. Take the Small Key. Return through the courtyard and block room; shoot the eye again to restore the twisted corridor.

  8. Twist the opposite wing

Cross the bow room and climb the blue-Poe stairs. Spend your keys on the upper route. In the room with rotating platforms, shoot an arrow through the central torch into the frozen eye. Return to the now-twisted passage and drop through the hole.

  9. Cross the falling ceiling

Watch one ceiling cycle before moving. Stand where its holes leave safe spaces, advance to the floor switch and then reach the opened door. Do not stop beneath a solid section of ceiling.

  10. Assemble the green portrait

Shoot the large painting to begin the timed block puzzle. Push the four picture blocks together into the completed Poe image; leave the plain blue block aside. Defeat the green sister after she appears. Continue back to the main lobby.

  11. Identify Meg

The final Poe splits into four copies. Watch the one that spins as they appear: that is the real Meg. Shoot her and repeat until the purple flame returns. The lobby elevator is now usable.

  12. Rotate the basement

Ride down. Push the handles on the central wall to turn the room, checking the newly exposed alcoves after each rotation. Press the three floor switches to remove the bars along the boss route. Use the Boss Key and enter the arena.

  13. Reopen the path to childhood

Collect the heart and Forest Medallion after the fight. Return to the Temple of Time. Sheik teaches the Prelude of Light and explains that placing the Master Sword back in its pedestal returns Link to childhood. Pulling it again restores adulthood.

AT THE END OF THE PATH

Phantom Ganon

During the painting phase, watch the riders: shoot the one emerging through purple energy; the decoy retreats.

In the second phase, bat the energy sphere back with the sword until it hits him. Run in and strike while he is down. Avoid his charge rather than trying to volley it.

KEEP IN MIND

Notes from the archive.

  • This is the original dungeon layout, not Master Quest. A twisted passage changes where its openings and chests sit.
  • The two Stalfos guarding the bow can revive if the other survives too long. Keep both fights under control before finishing them.
