Complete the child and adult halves of the Spirit Temple, recover the Mirror Shield and face Twinrova.
Child: make a promise to Nabooru
Enter as child Link. Speak to Nabooru by the left crawlspace, say you dislike Ganondorf and agree to help. Crawl through, defeat the Keese and Armos, then take the left door.
Child: lower the metal bridge
Defeat the Stalfos and the Green Bubble when its flame is down. Throw the Boomerang around the metal barrier to strike the crystal behind it. Cross the lowered bridge. In the next room, defeat the Anubis with Din's Fire, or activate the flame switch and guide its mirrored movement into the fire.
Child: earn the first key
Collect the five silver rupees in the next room, watching for a Wallmaster overhead. Cross the lowered barrier and light the two unlit torches with a burning Deku Stick. Take the key and exit back to the first chamber. Crawl through its central passage and unlock the door.
Child: let the sunlight in
Shoot the spiders on the climbable wall and climb. Defeat the Lizalfos. Hit the crystal switch to get Bombchus, then send one up the wall toward the cracked patch where sunlight leaks in. Its explosion widens the opening and activates the sun emblem.
Child: cross the statue chamber
In the giant-statue room, push the nearby Armos off the ledge onto its floor switch. Climb the stairs and continue. Lighting the two torches on the room's lower floor earns the optional map; the climbable wall beside the dropped Armos returns you upstairs.
Child: move the sun into the light
In the block chamber, collect five silver rupees to light a torch. Use it to light the other three torches and take the Small Key. Move the plain blocks aside, then push the sun-marked block into the shaft of light. Follow the opened route and unlock the Iron Knuckle room.
Child: collect the Silver Gauntlets
Wake the Iron Knuckle. Bait an axe swing, backflip clear and punish its recovery with the sword; pillars it breaks can release hearts. After winning, leave through the rear door and open the outdoor chest. Watch Nabooru's scene. Return to the Temple of Time, become adult Link and warp back.
Adult: open the other wing
Push the giant block on the entrance's right side until it drops. Bomb the Beamos and Longshot the ceiling crystal. The left room offers a Compass after a Wolfos fight and Zelda's Lullaby. Take the right door for the required silver-rupee room.
Adult: collect the boulder-room rupees
Use the Hover Boots for the floating rupee and check the alcoves. Move the Time Block with the Song of Time to reach the remaining rupee. Collect all five, enter the opened door, defeat the Like Like and take its key. Return and unlock the central route.
Adult: direct the light
Pass the flying pots and Like Like, then climb the brick wall. Use the Lens to locate the invisible Floormaster; defeat it and its small hands. Rotate the mirror until its light strikes the sun that opens the exit. Avoid continuing to the sun that releases a Wallmaster.
Adult: play in the statue's hand
Back in the giant-statue chamber, climb the stairs and Hover onto the hand marked with a Triforce. Play Zelda's Lullaby. Longshot to the chest that falls onto the other hand and take its Small Key. Return using the ceiling target above the Armos.
Adult: clear the fire puzzle
Climb the eastern stairs and unlock the door. Defeat the Beamos and the three Anubis beyond; Din's Fire is straightforward, or use the fire switch and their mirrored movement. In the next room, wake an Armos so it hops onto the blue switch, then run through the south door before it moves away.
Adult: win the Mirror Shield
Climb the stairs to a second Iron Knuckle. Fight it using the same bait-and-counter rhythm, then open the chest outside for the Mirror Shield. Return to the Armos-switch room, stand in the sunlight and angle the shield onto the wall's sun. Take the key behind the opened door.
Adult: secure the Boss Key
Return through the Anubis room and open its remaining locked door. Longshot high onto the moving climbing wall to pass it. Continue to the Triforce and play Zelda's Lullaby. In the next room, smash or bomb the false door hiding an eye switch, shoot the eye, Longshot to the new platform and step on its switch. Open the Boss Key chest.
Adult: carry light to the giant face
Back outside the key room, take the upper passage. Strike the crystal through the bars with a sword spin to open the route. Defeat the Lizalfos and White Bubbles, bomb the cracked wall and rotate both mirrors so the light passes through the opening and bars into the room with the chained platform.
Adult: lower the platform
Stand on the chained platform and use the Mirror Shield to illuminate the sun switch. As the platform lowers into the statue chamber, hold the beam on the giant statue's face until it crumbles. Longshot to the opening, use the Boss Key and defeat the final Iron Knuckle. Continue through the passage to Twinrova.
Receive the Spirit Medallion
Win both phases of Twinrova, take the Heart Container and enter the warp. With all five temple sages awakened, return to the Temple of Time for the final revelation and the Light Arrows.
Twinrova
First, reflect one witch's elemental beam into the other with the Mirror Shield: ice into the fire witch, fire into the ice witch. Aim without targeting if you need freer shield control.
After they merge, absorb three attacks of the same element. Dodge the opposite element so it does not cancel the charge. Aim the released beam at Twinrova, jump across while she is stunned and attack with the sword. Return to the central platform and repeat.

Notes from the archive.
- The Silver Gauntlets cannot be used by child Link. Their purpose is to open the adult entrance after the outdoor scene.
- The original N64 barred crystal in the mirror section is reached with a sword spin; do not follow instructions for the relocated 3DS switch.
- Ice Arrows are unnecessary. Fire for Anubis, reflected sunlight and the Mirror Shield solve the required puzzles.
